Article Archive #29 - Join This List

This post originally appeared on Hockey Jersey Concepts on August 12th, 2016.

Hello folks, how are you today?  Me I'm good, I always enjoy writing these Friday HJC posts.  If you think you might enjoy writing for HJC too, well you're in luck, as we're currently looking for a new Tuesday writer.  Click on the white banner above this post for all the important details.

On Wednesday when Phil was discussing the available writer position, he mentioned it was "an exclusive club being opened up again".  That got me thinking, just how exclusive is this club, how many people have written for HJC before?  The answer is 21.  21 people have had at least one HJC post attributed to them.  Below I've arranged those people from most to least amount of posts written, with links to their first and last posts (because apparently I didn't have anything better to do).

Ryan Haslett, 895 Posts (Nov 2009 - Present)
As the founder of this site and the only regular writer for the first few years, Ryan built up a lead of over 600 posts before other people started writing the weekday posts.

WinnipegJets96, 216 Posts (Aug 2012 - Present)
In second place is WinnipegJets96, who was part of the first group of writers brought on, and has been writing here ever since.

Dylan Alexander, 178 Posts (Aug 2012 - Dec 2015)
Also part of the first group of writers was Dylan, who left at the end of 2015.

William Butala, 123 Posts (Sept 2013 - Jan 2016)
William joined the HJC team a bit later in 2013, and built up over 120 posts before leaving earlier this year.

Caz Williams, 98 Posts (Oct 2013 - Feb 2015 & Jan 2016 - Present)
After William left, Caz rejoined the team for his second stint as an HJC writer.

Brendan Poe, 73 Posts (March 2015 - Present)
Our Thursday writer Brendan has written 73 posts since becoming an HJC writer in March 2015.

Steven Grant, 73 Posts (Aug 2012 - June 2013 & Jan 2016 - Present)
Also with 73 total posts is me, split between two writing stints.
Latest Post (this one)

Dylan Nowak, 70 Posts (July 2013 - Jan 2014 & March 2015 - Jan 2016)
Dylan took over for me after my first writing stint.  He also split his writing time between two different stints.

Colin May, 53 Posts (Aug 2012 - April 2013 & Dec 2013 - May 2014)
Another member of the original writing team was Colin.  He came back for several more months of writing after a brief gap in 2013.

Phil Beck, 42 Posts (May 2014 - Sept 2014 & Feb 2016 - Present)
Wednesday writer Phil had prior experience writing for HJC before rejoining the staff in February.

Jack Godlewski, 36 Posts (May 2015 - Feb 2016)
Phil took over for Jack, who stepped down in February of this year.

Tyler Gross, 35 Posts (Nov 2012 - Aug 2013)
Tyler was the first person brought on after the original group of writers.

Alex Offenbach, 34 Posts (Jan 2014 - Sept 2014)
Two years ago Alex was your Wednesday writer.

Kevin Wos, 33 Posts (Feb 2013 - Sept 2013)
For a while there wasn't a concept post on the weekend.  Kevin was brought on to fill that gap.

Steven Marculaitis, 32 Posts (Jan 2016 - Present)
The other Steven has been writing on Tuesdays since January, soon he'll switch to a different day.

Christian Legault, 30 Posts (Sept 2014 - April 2015)
Christian was the Wednesday writer for a while in 2014/15.

Ricky Mazella, 30 Posts (Aug 2012 & May 2013 - Nov 2013)
As part of the application process when Ryan was first looking for writers, the chosen applicants had to write a post about their five favourite jerseys.  Ricky was one of those applicants, and then he was later chosen to be a writer in 2013.

Caden Patafie, 25 Posts (Sept 2014 - March 2015)
Caden wrote for HJC for several months in 2014/15.

Glen Cuthbert, 13 Posts (Oct 2010 - Feb 2011)
Back in the very early days of HJC, Glen wrote a handful of posts including posting his NHL Rebrand series.

Thallos, 13 Posts (Aug 2012 - Nov 2012)
Thallos, who like Cher only has one name, was part of the original group of writers.

Thomas Livingstone, 1 Post (Aug 2012)
During the application process for the original group of writers, Thomas wrote a post about his five favourite jerseys.

Now you have a chance to join this (somewhat) exclusive list.  And you can rocket up the list pretty quickly as well, after only a year you'd pass more than half the people.  If you're interested, get your application in before noon next Friday.

By the way, how many of these names do you recognize?  I've been around for all of them except Glen.

*(I'm pretty sure all this information is accurate, but if I've missed anyone or made another mistake let me know in the comments and I'll fix it).
